LD125 MK2 1954........ Very rare model with LC style side panels.

How it was when I found it complete but worse for wear.
SOLD.............I reluctantly have here for sale a Lambretta LD125 MK2 for restoration, originally purchased from Kings in Oxford , March 1954 .
The scooter was offered to me in 1998 where the owner had left it in a garden for over 40 years, although the legshields
had rotted away from the curve along the footboards and the front mudguard was a little worse for wear i eventually
found replacements in wakefield as you can see below. Amazingly the rest of the scooter was complete and the engine was so
covered in an oily substance it had protected everything. The rear of the frame needs some welding work but a friend of
mine has had a look and said it's worth doing.

please look at the slideshow below for a closer look at all the original Italian parts . I've listed in an Ebay auction with a starting price of £300 but will sell if someone offer's a sensible price before the auction ends .

Even if you think it's a massive challenge I'm sure all the parts could help someone restore a similar LD with them.

This model is pretty rare as the righthand side panel is the same as the LC125 with a door to flip down to switch the choke on and fuel. Also the fuel tank is offset in the left of the frame behind the single seat, the original tool tube was also under the seat with the scoot.
