Here we go again , the BSSO scooter racing Championship is well and truly started after the first day of the new season took place on the Croft Race Circuit in the north east.
Mikey Bonnet started where he finished last season on his group 4 Lambretta first in class for the 1st and 2nd race but know one was gonna catch Stuart day on his Group 6 powered Lambretta useing every piece of tarmac on the fast circuit. Close behind them was the Conneely boys from the DKS team replay garage , Steve , bert and Darren finishing close on the heels of the awesome pair . Well done to everyone who took to the track today , now the first days nerves have gone lets have a great season .
The BSSO championship begins this weekend at Croft Race circuit , Darlington. Looking forward to the season opener with all the scoots back on the track and some new faces I'm sure looking to prove what they can do on a racing Lambretta or Vespa. See you all up their.
I met some really nice guys today from Cemex , South Ferriby. All giving a helping hand with some community spirit with their "Lend a hand " project . Well done to all on a very bleak march day .
Racing test day at Mallory park with the DKS Replay race team started out cold but soon warmed up with Steve, Richard (bert) and Darren on the track putting the Chalkie built Lambretta's through their paces. With some fantasic support from their sponsors this season they are up for the challenge to bring home a few titles in the BSSO championships 2014.
The next issue of Classic Scooterist will be out this week , but keep subscribing because in a future edition I will be producing a feature on the production of the Vespa SS180 . From standard to Eddy Grimstead Hurricane dealer special it will be an enjoyable read .

Once again Richard Addison Photography has secured the contract to shoot images for the Tata Kids of Steel Triathlon series . This year 2014 there will be 9 events in the series throughout the UK for 8-11 year old's to take part. Looking forward to meeting up again with my friends from the British Triathlon Federation .
