Even on holiday a photographer is never far away from taking images, good job I have my Blackberry Z10 by my side . Afraid all this fuss about iphone's, samsung and Blackberry and which is best is a joke, just use whatever works for you. With the cost of iphone's i don't believe they are reasonable for the masses, samsung are very good but more personal use but I prefer the Blackberry Z10 as it is a perfect work tool with just enough on for my everyday enjoyment . Best turned out club at this years Hammered 6 was Stoke on Trent Scooter club , well done for the support. Another fantastic weekend on the rally calendar in Sheffield this time at the davey sporting club, the combined scooter clubs of the city provided a weekend of entertainment for all tastes . Plenty of campers enjoying this summer heatwave which almost certainly effects attendance at all organised rallies across the uk.
Hull Drifters arrive on site ..
This year Cleethorpes Scooter rally held at the Meridian park was possibly one of the best supported for many years. Congratulations must go to Mansfield Monsters and the Olympics SC for a superb job in organising the event over the weekend of 5th - 7th July. The campsite was overflowing with campers in the heatwave that descended on the country , with a good choice of scooter related trade stalls and food on site. The Young Guns scooter club held a special event also on the saturday for rally goers and its brilliant that the youth on the scene are planting seeds to be around to keep the scen growing long after us old codgers have gone . Although some of the Saturday night revellers in the town centre would have been holidaymakers I'm sure the pubs was heaving at night from the majority of scooterists in the holiday resort for the rally, with many bands blasting out some great tunes through the night. We spent time at the Fiddlers watching my mate Andy and the Jam'd who was just great with standing room only in the bar . As we always say the weather makes a difference for a rallies attendance but this was a special weekend for me and we couldn't have spent it in a better place with good friends . Cheers everyone who supported such a great lifestyle of ours.. Rich Had a great time at the Hull Drifters open day/ night at the White Horse, Gilberdyke ... If only more venues would get on board to help support these type of events and make it Free entry and reasonable priced beer / food for Scooter events. The weather was with us but every single person had a smile on their faces all weekend ,entertained by four bands and landlady Fiona dancing on the pool table sat night. A fantastic turn out by all and a pat on the back for The Drifters . Moxy was even buttering buns in the kitchen sunday morning helping Fiona provide bacon butty's Number 1 bloke you and your boys deserve some praise. A wide range of clubs attending from around the area and some further afield. Furthest travelled trophy (sponsored by Richard Addison Photography) went to a couple of Woolybacks SC from Middlesborough and Darlington. Best custom scoot went to SCUM still looking good, the le mans lambretta of Pete Sawczuk scunny silhouettes took best Lambretta . Rich |
